Jurassic 5 were keepers of the flame. They championed positivity and social consciousness when rap was glamorizing the thug-life and bling materialism of Gangsters. Blessed with the tight vocal interplay of their four emcees, Chali 2na, Zaakir, Akil and Marc 7, and the omnivorous rhythmic deliveries of Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark they evoked the sound and values of the Golden age of Hip-Hop, earning them a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim across the globe.  
 
That band has not existed in seven years. 
 
Now Jurassic 5 are preparing to tour again, getting back to the "playground tactics" that lit up the scene. J5 were one of the most the electric live acts in Hip-Hop and now the loyal and the newly indoctrinated will get to see them burn the down the stage.  
 
Simply put, they WERE Jurassic 5… this film is about them becoming J5 again.
