'Mar en tierra' is a representation of the fear and fascination generated by the sea. It is a glimpse of a point inaccessible by humans, where the water is free to run and jump without being slowed by the land. A landscape created by repeated lines that communicate constant movement, flow, speed, even fury.

The work is also a reflection that nothing is really static if we see it very closely, that the passion with which the waves break in the middle of the sea, where no one sees them, is the same with which our blood runs through our veins.
From its central perspective you can see the linear stroke in the wood. From the side perspectives, the nylon threads emulate the linear lines of origin. The different shadows generated during the day, the wind and through the physical manipulation by those attending the piece.
'Mar en tierra' was the result of the long-distance artistic collaboration between Vicky González (Barcelona) and Gustavo Castillo (Mexico City) for the 2020 Bahidorá Carnival Art Circuit. The linear creation generated from the graphic work of Gónzalez and while that the interactive materialization was carried out by Castillo.
