This is my solution to a problem in Machine learning course at Aalto University. The task was to write a report, describing the essential properties of the Auto Miles Per Gallon data set, available from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. Additionally it was given, that the reader does not understand any advanced methods that we are learning during the course, so scatterplots, histograms, means etc. have to suffice. He has a short attention span, so the report should be short (at most one page). 

The additional difficulty was that the data had no measurement units. After doing some research about the given cars, I derived measurement units and then I converted everything into SI measurement system:

• miles per gallon → liters per 100 km

• origin codes 1 2 3 → categorical measurements: Japan, Europe, U.S.

• cubic inches → 1000s of cubic centimeters → liters

• seconds to 100 mph → seconds to 100 km/h

• lbs → kg → tons
