I created this ticket design for QEH's stage production of William Golding's Lord of the Flies. The brief was simply to create a black-and-white ticket that could easily be mass produced in the style of an aeroplane boarding pass.
The design focuses on the most important elements - seat number, time and destination (metaphorically). Emphasis was placed on simple typography and a clean layout. Only two fonts were used in varying weights throughout the design - Avenir Next Condensed and Courier New.
The conch shell is a recurring theme throughout the story, so an image of it was placed in the background. It also helped break up the large areas of white space typical of an airline boarding pass.
