This animated music video is inspired by a heartfelt story of a relationship between two soldiers during the Second World War, called "Letter to a G.I.", first published in 1953 and republished in September 1961 by "ONE Magazine" in the USA.

In the letter, one of the soldiers - Brian Keith - describes warmly the best moments that him and Dave (his partner) shared during the North African Campaign of 1943, when they first met. Unfortunately the story ends with a sad farewell to Dave, as he did not make it back home.

I tried to illustrate some of their best moments from the letter, and included some fictional ones for this cosmic trip through Brian Keith's dreams. Because of the keen attention to the details in his letter, I imagined that these memories stayed with him for a very long time. While listening to Young Galaxy and thinking of my own personal stories, I realised it was the perfect soundtrack for him to re-live these beautiful times.
