Os Idiotas
This is a set of three illustrations for an interview Ana Fernandes made to Portuguese writer Rui Ângelo Araújo on his new novel Os Idiotas (The Idiots). This interview was published in the webzine IP4 and you can read it (in Portuguese) here.
On reading the interview, I noticed three strong points of discussion: people, power and press. The illustrations are an attempt to materialize these concepts through a process of digital collage, made from found and scanned elements. At the time I was working on a school project deeply related to futurist and dadaist work methods, which had a great influence on me on this work as well.
