The Fallen Rock Concept (2019)

The Fallen Rock Concept
2019
This is one of the last project conceptions made in 2019, June. Next architectural project after "Clouds'n Fog" conception. Because there wasn't any other tasks worth to get interested in.

To be honest this one was supposed to be an aqua terrarium, but since the customers who asked the company which contacted me didn't accept this conception, as it became beyond their budget request. The company asked for a second option which took more than one month. Well, about that a bit later...

The concept is assembled from inspiring nature elements. The main element is a massive, edgy rock. The concept takes it's start from a solid rock-looking box, then getting deformed as it fells to the ground and cracks, number of elements have been split into smaller distances, rotated 5-15 degrees from each other.

On the next step, each spaced element gets sharpened like if time passes, which is similar to other rocks like Gobustan in Azerbaijan. The modules are slightly different, even more modified than modules in the last 10 to 20 years and it has been assembled in a maximum merging shape with Zoo, as well as Gobustan, as a national element.

The border is adapted to the seaside rocks and have been stylized in Wassily Kandinsky's geometrical abstraction style. According to geometrical form of seabed, the triangles (rocks) goes towards descending. Glass was used as secondary material. Thus, a "breath" is given to prevent the closed, suffocating appearance. The minimal altitude has been selected as an optimal measure to prevent the escape of animals, starting at the height of 4 meters.

The final stage was to finish the remaining hollow spaces with glass and wooden materials. Given that the overall facade is abstract, it will have a direct affection to interior as well. Wooden elements both inside the concept and which occurs in lots of places in Zoo itself would play an important role in the overall composition of Zoo (brown, green & black).

In the end, I represent it as a showroom concept, as it suits better for art exhibitions, concert and similar events. It took up to 4 weeks with the idea included to complete. Because the company liked it and wanted to apply the idea somewhere, sometime, the conception is about to get the patent before it I hope.
