Echoic Audio collaborates with renowned visual artists to celebrate 10 years as a leading music and sound design studio.
To celebrate a decade of music and sound design in commercials, animation and independent films, Echoic Audio has joined forces with leading agencies and motion designers to create a series of experimental brand inspired films.
Collaborating with renowned creative agencies The Mill, Territory, Found, Onesal, Panoply, The Dink, as well as independent directors Sekani Solomon, Christopher Bjerre, Nidia Dias, Axl Le, Clemens Wirth, Danil Krivoruchko and Ihsu Yoon, Echoic Audio released 13 different creative animations based on their core visual assets.
From ‘tesselating planes inspired by MC Escher’ to ‘nested worlds’ and ‘abstract minimalism’, each animation has been conceived and directed by a different creative partner and flexed using experimental processes to showcase cutting-edge, brand-led, audio-visual design.
By looking at Echoic’s ‘past and present’ long-time collaborators Territory Studio describe their interpretation as inspired by the ‘style and tools Echoic Audio have used over the years’ combined with Territory’s own futuristic aesthetic from movies like Ready Player One and Blade Runner 2049: ‘Everytime we work with Echoic we know our work is going to be elevated to the next level’.
Described by Found Studio as ‘one of our best long-term collaborators, Echoic has always been our first port of call for audio’. International VFX company, The Mill, reinforces this sentiment; ‘they’ve always exceeded our expectations. We’re very lucky to work with them.’
Scored by bespoke music and sound design, each animation highlights how effective collaboration between creative disciplines is crucial for brand recall and can reinvent core brand assets. Here’s to another decade of international collaboration in the digital arts!
