Contrast is a company dedicated to teaching the ins and outs of latte art to people from all walks of life--from novice baristas to at home milk-and-espresso enthusiasts to experienced coffee slingers. I executed this concept using minimalist, modern blocks of subdued color to teach the concept as simply as possible. I intended the website and the app to act as an accessible one-stop-shop on learning how to pour.
With over 5 years in the coffee industry, I wanted to pour all of the expertise I've earned in my side job into my true passion, graphic design. I pulled inspiration from the people that I've met, the customers that I've served, and the lattes (so many lattes) that I poured for them.
I captured all photography used and designed all the iconography for this project. This project was such a labor of love as it culminated all of my current working experience into one app and website but I'm really proud of it! I feel like it captures the spirit of the culture of coffee in my town very well.
Contrast won first place for Interface Design in Santa Fe College's 2020 Juried Student Exhibition.
