"Mascorona - masks for the new world era" (@mas_corona) is a lightning photography project that was born during the quarantine on Instagram it and will be deleted after the end of isolation.
Promoted by three brazilian designers, Rita Davis, Filipe Costa and João Emediato, the project is an open invitation to everyone who is in social isolation to experience the creation of their own masks in the face of a new era.
The project started with a challenge on Instagram and now there are more than 230 masked in several cities in Brazil (Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Brasília, Recife and also other countries) and more than 8 thousand people following the project . From a pencil to pieces of ham, everything can be a mask as long as it is creatively arranged.
As designers and visual artists, we are inspired by the intersection of design, performance and visual narratives. And of course, the project it's a stimulating way to go a little less crazy.
