HYSTERIA - Post-Truth is a mixed media album cover concept, exploring ways to visualise chaos, helplessness, and fear mongering through different methods and media. The public has been living in two seperate realities, through unethical spread of misinformation, constant algorithm-fed confirmation bias and unrelenting partisanship.
Through two white and black acrylic paintings, I created an expressive, chaotic main image to represent the chaotic polarisation of the current discourse. A big free-for-all of who can spew the most post-truth rhetoric, something that has roots over 2000 years deep, when Roman emperor Octavian comissioned a poem that played in shaping the narrative of his regime.
