About
City of Białobrzegi is a small town located in central Poland. The city of Białobrzegi is a tourist city due to its location by the Pilica river. Every summer there are lots of people spending their free time by the river in Białobrzegi. The city is famous for the Pilica river and also for the bridge - I decided that I want to use both this symbols in it's new logo. New logo is in a shape of the heart to symbolize the openness and coziness of the city.
Scope of project
I started with a big and long research. It took me a lot of time because designing for public institutions is a really specific type of work. First of all, I developed new logo and key visual that was based on a logo design. Then I started with designing some promotional stuff such as public events posters etc. After that, I designed some print materials, such as business cards, letterhead, envelopes etc. Last but not least, I designed some elements of the visual information system that is located in the public areas all over the town.
Brand book
After I completed the logo design process and the final version was chosen, I decided to design the logo book, where I put all the information about the mark. In the logo book there is information about sign construction, the primary and alternative versions of the logo, the proportions and safe area of the mark as well as color palette of the whole system, typography that is intended to be used in the system and some other info such as examples of the logo use etc.
Print stuff
Together with the logo, I created the whole visual identity based on key visual that I designed. Key visual is based on the logo mark and is the base for all the projects, including all the promotional stuff and also the company materials.
Posters
Then, I created some posters for public events, such as concerts, days of the City of Białobrzegi etc. All the event promotional posters are based on the same design template that I created.
Wayfinding
I decided to design some wayfinding system elements, such as big information boards, small information plates, road signs, small plates with the names of public institutions and plates with addresses.
I also designed a individual set of icons for the wayfinding system.
