Project: Create the cover based off of the synopsis
Synopsis: Welcome to a time in US history where not everyone is allowed to become a parent. The US government has mandated that all females must be implanted with a contraceptive rod upon hitting puberty. Getting that rod out and becoming pregnant requires a rigorous application process and interview. Those lucky enough to be deemed qualified must remain compliant with all the laws and regulations on best practices for child-rearing otherwise they will lose their right to be parents.
Steven and Jenna have applied to become parents and their future looks bright until they step into Veronica’s office for the interview. Why has Jenna waited until this moment to express her concerns about the application process? And why does her husband seem so flummoxed by the sight of Veronica? As the interview progresses, it becomes increasingly clear that all of these people have secrets that could get them into serious trouble unless they figure out a way to reconcile how they really want to live with the rules of their increasingly regulated world.
The Interview, at its core, is a play about the conflicts that arise between an individual’s conscience, government regulation and societal expectations. Both social satire and psychological drama, the play asks questions about personal freedom, the nature of romantic love and the struggle to remain emotionally and ethically honest in a world where critical thinking and non-conformity can have devastating consequences.

Solution: Cover inspired by street art and propaganda posters. I created an image describes the imbalance of control and power through the character's actions of interrogation and relationship expectations.
