My wife and I moved to LA from Chicago one year ago. I was really excited to explore the in's and out's of a new city, but that quickly came to a halt in March. All of a sudden a sense of excitement became feeling unmoored and unsure of what the future held. Given the situation, I suddenly had a lot of time to fill, so I came up with this project to help me keep occupied and help me practice my storyboarding, background and character design skills.
Seeing Y La Bamba live was the last concert my wife and I got to see before quarantine. It was an amazing performance and this song, 'Mujeres' really stuck with me. The song has such a great, driving rhythm — I thought it would be perfect for this type of story. I hope you enjoy!
