Interpret Durban 4
T-Shirt Competition
WINNING DESIGN
This was Interpret Durban's first T-shirt design contest, and my first time entering Interpret Durban. With plans to leave my home city of Durban move to Johannesburg in a few months, I was not going to let this yearly event slide by once again. The event became a very sentimental thing to me, and my goal was to make it a memorable one. I thank everyone who made it happen.
Marking the nearing end of my student years and a new beginning, I took home first prize.
My design was based on pure Durban city life experience (except for the elephant of course). The taxis flying out of nowhere, with clouds of smoke following them.
The elephant, an icon of Durban, wears a head piece seen on the famous Rikshaws along the beach. The giant slips on a skateboard causing havoc on the street.
