Goal: It was an independent art work to illustrate the characters from book series, The Guardians of Childhood.

Process: First, I read the books of The Guardians of Childhood series and watched a movie, Rise of the Guardians, to study each character and their element. I began looking at the concept of various geometric shape behind each character design and incorporated this into placing each of them on my sketch book.

I wanted to reflect on the young spirit of each character and their center of being guardians of children. After the initial sketch was done on paper, I scanned it and digitally colored using Photoshop. 

 
Challenge: I found out that keeping the balance of color contrast between each character piece requires most attention. It was most difficult to deal with coloring of Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy since they both had many colors to work with. In the end, I resolve this by reducing the opacity of the color and number of colors used on the background.
