THE TEA COLLECTION
Packaging for flavored Ceylon Teas
The Tea Collection is a small tea store located in the heart of Antwerp. It specializes in high quality teas from all around the world. Even though the store is run by two very helpful ladies, it gives off a masculine vibe with hard wooden floors, metallic staircases and textured tin teapots.
For their line of flavored Ceylon teas, I designed a series of three embossed tea boxes. Each embossing and color is unique to the tea's personality and character.
Like the movie's main character "Rick", Casablanca tea has a strong yet delicate side to it. The crisscross metallic embossing gives a rough texture to the box while the green color is reminiscent of Islamic art.
Emperors's choice, a drink fit for a ruler, with exotic and luxurious flavors.
The brick red color and round embossing is similar to that of Japanese tea pots.
Chai pure, perhaps the oldest spicy drink in the world, conveys temperance with an Indian pattern often found on Saris.
Front and back of the box. The ingredients are located at the back and encircled by their respective embossed patterns.
