"This cookbook was constructed for the purpose of helping those who identify as Black to reclaim the traditional English breakfast for their own consumption. Using a lens of performance studies and blackness while grounding itself in the history of British tea consumption and British colonial practices, this cookbook lays out a 7 recipe process for using the traditional English breakfast as a means of reflection, community building and critical thought around coloniality and the role of food in colonial projects. However, above all else, this cookbook delineates the process for cooking a meal to share with friends.
