GASOLINE is a Windows 8 App designed to inform gas stations nearby. According to your location, you can check the gas prices of the nearest gas station, by fuel brand, type of fuel or from the cheapest to the most expensive gas station.
The goal is to explore the Windows 8 App features which are the charms bar (search & share), the app bar and the pin button.
Search
By integrating the search feature in this App, any search request will also search inside the content of this App.
Share
This feature isn’t yet fully developed. However, the goal is to allow the user to share every piece of content of this App like the prices or the gas stations directions.
App Bar
The App Bar helps the user to navigate inside the App without disturbing the App structure. Through this bar, the user can apply filters by which intends to organize and see the information above. This way, there will be no unnecessary information to distract.
Pin
One of the best Windows 8 features is the live tiles. They allow to see constant updated information in the Start Screen, which is great if the user intends to be fully aware of any changes. The user can pin a gas station, brand or type of fuel. This way, if there are changes in the prices, the user will instantaneously know through the notification and the live tile.
