Bon Voyage (“Welcome / All aboard”) was an internal program brand
designed for Microsoft Western Europe focused on the on-boarding process to welcome new employees.
CONCEPT
More than flat design, one of Microsoft’s signature visuals is the colored square. From the different types of windows compositions that constitute the company’s major logos (Microsoft and Windows) to tiles used on Windows and Windows Phones user experience.

At the time, 14 countries constituted Microsoft’s Western Europe: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Each country is iconic and individually represented by its own flag and language. However, they are connected by Microsoft, which is why it made sense to transform the individual representation into a unique and coherent voice: the square.

While holistically part of a group, the logo is adapted for each country, bringing a sense of uniqueness, just as of being part of a company as Microsoft is all about.
RESULTS
Brand and email templates (for the manager, to anticipate the newcomer process and for the new employee, to welcome to the company) were developed and shared to be implemented.
This project was developed while working at Microsoft Portugal.
This design is Microsoft Portugal intellectual property and can not be changed or used for any other purpose unless the one previously agreed, without the consent of the same.
