We developed a hybrid luminaire for a the oldest and one of the newest light source known to mankind - sunlight and LED light. Parans Solar Lighting has developed a product for bringing real sunlight into buildings thorugh fiber optics. Our task was to create a luminaire that would also work at night; that would highlight the specific qualities of sunlight; and that would have a striking and interesting form.
Our hybrid luminaire is modular and can form larger or smaller clouds. When lit with LED light, it gives good and soft light. When lit with sunlight, on the other hand, you can see a warm glow inside the luminaire and the sharp sunlight forms beautiful patterns, like light through the branches of a tree.
