Wandering in British Colombia

Early September 2020 - When we landed in Vancouver with my two friends Jules and Alexis, we were still wondering if we would be able to do 110km, 4100+ elevation gain, with our 15kg backpacks in 6 days. The answer is yes. Fortunately. First, we hiked up to the Joss Mountain fire lookout (2360m) as a "training". We ended up in high winds during the night, and slept cold and wet in the lookout. But, what a sunrise we had as a reward the next morning, stunning. Then we drove to the Sunshine Village and started our big hike to the Mount Assiniboine. We had to do the round-trip from the bottom of the ski village since the gondola is closed (because of Covid). The hike was amazing with a lot of different landscapes and atmospheres, with the spectacular view of the Mount Assiniboine (3618m) and its surroundings at the end.
