Restore Freedom From Sex-Trafficking
An awareness campaign for hope for sex-trafficking survivors
An awareness campaign for hope for sex-trafficking survivors
Restore serves to provide freedom and after-care services to internationally sex-trafficked victims in New York City. I created and directed a campaign to convey both the hope for freedom and the current trappings for sex-trafficked victims to foster awareness for the issue and organizational impact.
The main emphasis was to highlight actual quotes from the organization's trafficking survivors. I art directed a photoshoot with photographer Anna Wolf (annawolf.com) of model portraits to serve as a supporting visual context for the quotes. The images were stylized with their identity obscured / out of focus in a ethereal, poetic stylistic way.
In this campaign we aimed for soulful and empathetic communication. We surve o achieve a human, natural look...not glammed up or sexy. Nature settings and imagery are be used for symbolic meaning (hope, freedom, safety).
