Blok
Blok is a highly adaptable seating system for collaborative workspaces and people. The system consists of a set of upholstered building 'bloks' and the base construction. The 'bloks' are based on a grid system and can be combined to create tailor-made furniture.
The parts for the base construction can be CNC-cut out of a single sheet of Really's solid textile board (2500 x 2000 mm). The base consists of a folded U-profile which is reinforced by vertical panels. The parts are then joined with dowels + wood glue. Base and backrest are screwed together first. The base has got a glued-in-thread which is aligned to the holes of the backrest.
The seating upholstery comes with small pegs on the underside that will fit into the holes of the base. Additionally, the cushion blocks will be secured with bolts from the bottom. The backrest upholstery has got the same construction as the seating upholstery and will also come with pegs that fit into the vertical surface of the base construction. The bolts are fixed from the backside. Lastly, the screen will be fixed to the backrest element.
