Food waste processor for single- person household

‘Alone’ 은 음식물 쓰레기 처리에 고통을 받는 1인가구를 위한 음식물 쓰레기 처리기다. 대부분의 1인가구는 1일 음식물 쓰레기 발생량이 적어 바로 버리지 못하고 종량제 봉투의 적정량이 채워질 때까지 방치하는 경우가 많다. 기존의 음식물 쓰레기 처리기는 큰 크기로 인해 공간적, 경제적 부담을 주는데 ‘Alone’은 이러한 문제를 해결한 1인가구용 제품이다.

'Alone' is a food waste processor for single-person households suffering from food waste disposal. Most single-person households cannot throw away food waste immediately because of the low amount of food waste generated per day, and often leave it until the proper amount of garbage bags is filled. Existing food waste processor is a space and economic burden due to its large size, and 'Alone' is a single- person household product that solves this problem.

처치 곤란 음식물 쓰레기 The difficulties of disposing of food waste

현대 사회의 1인가구는 지속적으로 빠르게 증가해 전체 가구의 약 30% 정도를 차지한다. 혼자 자취를 하는 대학생, 취업을 하고 부모님으로부터 독립한 사회초년생, 나홀로 라이프를 꿈꾸는 비 혼주의 자 등등 그 형태는 매우 다양하지만 이들의 공통된 불편이 있다. 바로 음식물 쓰레기를 처리하 는 것이다. 1회에 발생되는 1인 가구의 음식물 쓰레기는 아주 소량에 불과하다.

그래서 대부분의 1인가구는 음식물 쓰레기를 처리하기 위해 음식물 종량제 봉투가 채워질 때 까지 며칠은 기다려야한다. 그러는 동안 음식물은 썩어 악취가 나고 벌레가 꼬인다. 이를 방지하기 위해 많은 이들이 냉장고에 얼려 보관하는 방법을 택하는데 이것은 냉장고 안에 세균을 번식시켜 위생적으로 매우 좋지 못하다.‘Alone은’ 소량의 음식물 쓰레기를 발생하는 즉시 깔끔하게 처리할 수 있어 악취와 벌레로부터 벗어나도록 도와준다.

Single-person households in modern society continue to grow rapidly, accounting for about 30 percent of all households. There are many different forms, such as college students living alone, a beginner in society who get a job and become independent of their parents, and non-marriage people who dream of living alone, but there are common inconveniences for them. It is to dispose of food waste. A single-person household's food waste generated at one time is only a small amount.

So most single-person households have to wait for a few days until the food waste bags are filled to dispose of it. In the meantime, the food rotts, stinks, and bugs occur. To prevent this, many people choose to freeze and store them in the refrigerator, which breeds germs in the refrigerator, which is very unhealthy.'Alone' helps you get out of the stench and bugs as soon as a small amount of food waste is generated.

Problem

1. large volume for single use, that's why I need a lot of space.

2. It's a hassle to install it in the sink.

3. When you put food in and take it out, you have to bend your back or it takes a lot of strength.

4. It is difficult to use only the functions that you want.

5. It's hard to separate and clean.

Solution

좁은 공간에서 효율적으로 사용하기 위해서 모서리를 활용한 디자인을 채택하였다.

뚜껑을 위아래로 열고 닫는 방식은 상단 선반에 의해 공간적 영향을 받아 음식물을 넣고 뺄 때 불편할 수 있기 때문에

앞뒤로 열 수 있는 슬라이드 방식으로 고안했다.

Design using corners was adopted to efficiently use in narrow spaces.
Opening and closing the lid up and down can be spatially influenced by the top shelf, which can be inconvenient when putting and removing food.
It was designed as a slide method that can be opened back and forth.

Motive

모서리 공간을 효과적으로 활용하기 위해 직선을 사용한 심플한 디자인을 모티브로 삼았다.

In order to effectively utilize the corner space, the motif is simple design using straight lines.

Function

열판에서 나오는 열기를 이용해 음식물을 건조 시킨 뒤, 건조된 음식물을 분쇄 시키면 가루 형태로 음식물 쓰레기를 처리할 수 있다.

위쪽에 부착된 헤파필터가 악취를 걸러주어 음식물 쓰레기 냄새로부터 벗어나게 한다.

If you dry the food using the heat from the heating plate and grind the dried food waste, you can process the food waste in powder form.
The HEPA filter attached to the top filters out the bad smell.

How to use

직관적인 사용법 Intuitive usage

1. 상단의 전원 버튼을 눌러 전원을 켠다.

2. 열림 버튼을 누른 뒤 기기가 열리면 음식물을 넣고 닫힘 버튼을 누른다.

3. 건조 or 분쇄 버튼을 눌러 음식물 처리를 시작한다.

작동 버튼은 직관적으로 표시되어 있어 누구나 쉽게 조작할 수 있다.

1. Turn on the power by pressing the power button at the top.

2. Press the open button, and when the device opens, add food and press the close button.

3. Start to dispose of food waste by pressing the dry or pulverized button.
The operating buttons are intuitively marked so that anyone can easily operate them.

Function

간편한 분리 및 조립 Easy disassembly and assembly

레일식 구조로 되어 있어 버튼을 누르면 레일을 따라 기기가 움직인다. 처리가 완료된 음식물을 버릴 땐 레일을 따라 빼면 통을 본체로부터

완전히 분리 시켜 쉽게 쏟아 버릴 수 있다. 또한 상단부의 홈을 살짝 들어 올리면 쉽게 필터를 교체할 수 있다.

It has a rail-like structure, so pressing a button moves the device along the rail.

When you throw away food that has been processed, follow the rails and take the container out of the main body.
It can be completely separated and easily spilled out. It is also easy to replace the filter by slightly lifting the groove on the upper part.
