Logo Design & Branding
Kwanton Kitchen

The Project
My brother Michael, a personal chef and passionate foodie, approached me to kickstart his Instagram Kwanton Kitchen with a logo design, professional photography, and business cards.

The Logo
My brother and I are of Asian descent, and we're both obsessed with Asian cuisine. When discussing the imagery he wanted to use in his icon logo, he knew he wanted to incorporate a bowl of noodles. I decided it would be fun to use a circle as the logo housing, representing a bowl, juxtaposed with the stark lines of noodles being lifted by the quintessential asian utensil–chopsticks.

The Final Logo and Business Cards
Since Kwanton Kitchen is all about cooking, we needed to showcase food on the business cards! Luckily, Moo (the printer) had the option for multiple back designs which gave us the ability to use several dishes that Michael had created and photographed.

Photography
Michael didn't have a developed photo style for his food blog, so we tried several ideas: macro shots, action shots, and overhead shots.
