The Centennial
full event branding including the event logo + print collaterol + website + tshirts + ads
The Centennial will be a celebration of the Assemblies of God's 100th year as an organization; it will be held in August 2014 in Springfield, Missouri, home of the AG's headquarters. This rare event will premier at the 2013 Assemblies of God General Council, and it will carry over the same theme of Believe, so we wanted the design to coordinate well with that event's materials. To usher in the new era of the AG, we wanted to keep the design ultra clean and simple, but still include some eye-catching elements. To achieve this, we are using a limited color palette of white, charcoal gray, and a neon orange with stark, bold typography.

Another unique component to The Centennial will be the photography. The Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center supplied us with rare historic photos depicting the birth of the AG. To compliment these unique images, Randy Bacon Photography created a collection of modern photos that slightly mimic the historical photos. Images from both eras will be viewed side-by-side in many pieces for this project, showing the huge growth and expansion experienced by the AG in the last 100 years.

Shown below are a few of the pieces developed so far for The Centennial: the event logo, website, brochure, tshirt design, and two ads – all to be viewed at the 2013 General Council promoting the 2014 event. Many more pieces will be developed in the next year (including a full-length book!), so check back for updates.
