Written on the subject of the use of imagery in editorial design for print and digital formats. It was an investigation into how new contexts and “the new reader” change the way a traditional media functions. The book design employs the styles of layout involved in contemporary publications so as to provide reference to how they work. The text and image are arranged separately so that visual content can be considered on its own. References occupy the spread and the essay inter-leafed as a moveable commentary on a half page.
