“A Tale From the Woods” is a fairytale of my own composition.
It is a story about love, fidelity and courage, about connection between generations, about beauty of native land’s nature.
A huge bat, suffering from loneliness, kidnapped a little girl and the main character – a grandmother - set off on a long and dangerous adventure to save the beloved granddaughter.
Many forest inhabitants along the way offered their help to the grandmother in catching the kidnapper.
I was born already after my grandmother’s death, so I have never seen her. But I know that if a bat had kidnapped me in a swamp deep in a forest, my grandmother would have acted the same way as my protagonist in a red cape.

Maybe it was you, grandma, who told me that story while I was asleep?
