Before being EPI, Elisabetta Percivati was only Elisabetta. She was the smallest of six children and grew up in a secret garden with her brothers with a farmer grandmother and a mother who currently still oscillates between punk and hippie. Having no talent to speak with people, decides to draw them. Draw them, everything that surrounds them and the stories they bring with them. The garden no longer exists and grandmother either, but as tribute to both Elisabetta becomes EPI. In tribute to the grandmother, who has taught to her aesthetic education through the complex simplicity of nature, this name born. EPI is in fact the pronunciation of the acronym composed of the initials of her name, acronym that her grandmother sewed elegantly and carefully on her handkerchiefs and clothes to distinguish them from those of her brothers.
In this time this name has remained on her, sewed on the hand when she draws, to remind her of that grandmother and that garden and all that she has learned from both. The child is now grown in part, but this signature helps her to remember of don't do it too much. Now she hides herself in other gardens, from which sends drawn stories about what she found in those gardens, hunting them in the more remote corners of the world and with the more strange people. You can find the tracks, if you see on the bottom of a drawing his signature: EPI. But it is rare to meet her. The secret gardens to discover and stories that populate them are still many and research is too much fun for stop it.
