My passion for the Art begun at a young age, already as a child I loved to draw and invent new games.
I followed my disposition by undertaking Italian equivalent of the English A level in Art and then I went to the Academy Of Art and the Academy of Fashion and Costume.
As soon as I finished my studies I had work experience mainly in Theatre in Rome. Initially I was costumes assistant and dress maker and then I build up to more important roles such as designer.
During these years I had the opportunity to explore the many facets of my profession: working in photo shoots, music videos , working with event organization agency and theatre/ dance companies.
I have taken part and organized various fashion shows and installations with dresses which were actual sculptures.
I am an independent Designer and I create clothes that draw its inspiration from the world of theatre and street trends. Fashion and Art melt together to give life to my creations. My work is based on creativity and crafts artistry.
I love to pull old clothes apart to then put together new ones: a sort of deconstruction-reconstruction an act of bringing to life new creations.
About my profession I love the process of experimentation, research, the stimuli that the world around me provides and in fact this is also why I London.
London to me is an open air metropolitan theatre, a melting pot, the Babylon the Thames and the entry door to the muse of Art!
Showcasing my designs in London would feel like the opening night at the theatre where all is possible and where it is interesting see the reaction or non-reaction of the audience.
As a designer I feel it is most important to provoke audience reaction as this gives vital stimulation to my creative streak.
My label is called “Bleach”. I chose this name because it resonates with my thought provoking work, in fact like bleach can have a devastating effect on the materials it can also act positively with them and this is exactly what I want to achieve with my creations: a reaction at any cost whether it being a negative or positive one.
