Clarissa Cappellani has been working as a director of photography on a wide range of award-winning documentaries, from immersive documentary verité to television docu-films, and she also shot sit-com, conceptual installations for museums, commercials and videoclips.

For the italian tv and satellite channels she shot many documentary (“8744” for History Channel, “A caccia di Unabomber” for Rai2, “Per chi suona la campanella” for Rai3, “G8, il vertice maledetto” Rai2, “La nascita del post-umano” for Rai2, etc.) and sit-com (“Barzecole” for Fox FX).
As camera operator she has shot Dante's first feature film “Via Castellana Bandiera” (an italian-swiss-french production in official competition at the Venise Film Festival 2013).
The longest collaboration of Clarissa Cappellani is with the director Sabina Guzzanti (since "Le ragioni dell'aragosta" as camera assistent to "Draquila - l'Italia che trema" and "Franca, la prima" as Dp).
