Christine Montague is a Canadian representational painter and portrait artist who also paints polar bears in oil on canvas whenever she can. Her first series of polar bear paintings were inspired by longing for an arctic journey. This year she made that trip, and now? She dreams of polar bears even more. Christine accepts portraiture commissions both large and small. A public example of her portraiture is Dr. Oscar Peterson, Living Arts Centre, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Christine is an academically trained artist with biology and fine art degrees from Concordia University (Montreal) and 3 years of study in Illustration (Communication and Design) at OCA (now OCADU , Toronto).

Until 2013 she created and sold her paintings in her Studio & Gallery in the art destination venue the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre, Halton Hills, Ontario. Her work was also exhibited in over 50 shows, many of them juried, in the western GTA.

Christine's studio is now in Mississauga, Ontario. Paintings may be purchased and commissioned directly from the artist. Read Less
