I'm a songwriter and illustrator. i live in austin, tx and i love my dog. Below is a statement i have to say about my artistry.

I’m come from where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet, in the Texas corner.
My first love was language and the written word, from that i moved on to music and songwriting.
Out of necessity, I ended up drawing for my band, then other bands, and then individuals, and so on.
I had an endless supply of projects to develop skills from literal stick figures to better stick figures.
Without music I might not have ever pursued making visual art.

From the initial sketch to the finished product, it’s always one piece of paper.
At First i just made ink drawings, no color or pencils, just shaky ink lines. Line work is still a favorite part of my process, especially the first ink lines of a piece, they are an outline of the puzzle ahead..When I started adding color to my drawings i used water color, and except for certain projects, I still use watercolors. I am untrained , which could account for my simple tools and tedious processes, but my work is very therapeutic for me, it’s like playing a game, and sometimes like fighting a battle of my own design. At this point in my life I would say Deep (blood) Red is my favorite color, to use and look at.
Blood red curtains, like those of a classical victorian theatre, my love of deep red grew from theatre curtains.

If I’m intrigued to look at anything for long enough i see worlds upon worlds of detail, in wood grain, grass growing, the stains on my teeth, it’s a meticulous universe. My work is a dark melting pot of everything i enjoy in said universe, be it a prehistoric circus in space, or an alligator dressed like a cowboy, the devils in the details. For me any way.
