Introduction to my work /////
The main thing I enjoy about painting and illustrating is playing and experimenting with colours, textures and techniques. However, there is no need for any specific method, as my work is very intuitive and free. My paintings are usually simple; colours are mainly soft and pale, lines and curves are often indistinct; yet every painting is full of small details that can easily be missed at first glance. This is how I try to engage the viewer and make him become aware of the sensations he/she is experiencing. I want to underline that I’m not interested in sending out a specific message; au contrare, my work involves sensations, feelings and emotions…

Generally, I work with watercolours, pencil and ink and for material I use wood. Sometimes it is used wood that I find in the street, such as old doors, tables, etc. I find this material interesting as it has a lot of details, textures and effects. One benefit of not using frames is that I can take advantage of the edges of the piece of wood.
My influences are mainly musical (I love music, I consider myself a melomaniac), and I’m also inspired by Japanese/Chinese art…

Bio //////
At the age of 16, I started to study Graphic Design and then I began to work for TV in design and animation, producing material for the channel such as teasers, program presentations and credit titles.
This is how I learnt the basics of animation in motion graphics.

After this period, I moved to Barcelona and opened my own studio called “baixlaigua”. I kept on working for other TV channels such as Barcelona televisio, LaSexta, TVE and TV 3, and advertising and production agencies such as El Terrat and boolab. I created spots, TV brands and several credits for movies.

Some of my ilustrations have been published in "rojo" magazine. (rojo/berg)

I also participated in a 24x24 event organised by the IDEP. It was an interesting and funny “exquisite corpse” made by 24 designers from all Europe working together for 24 hours straight.

I made two exhibitions for advanced minority in Vienna in the Cubicle Gallery and designed the T-shirt "christmas sucks!"

I am currently working on new paintings, illustrations and a few other projects involving music and visuals. I am still collaborating on AM and other illustration projects .....

I have started an electronica band in Barcelona, called “Head Over Heels”, in which, as well as performing and composing, I also design the logo, the stage visuals and the album art.
The most recent project that I am developing is a music magazine about alternative and experimental music… (The Sound Mag).
