Off the back of winning the AWARD School Diversity Challenge, graduating from university with the Creative Advertising Portfolio Award and a highly praised graduate exhibition (organised by herself and her peers following the cancellation of the official Curtin show), a successful internship and freelance work at Longtail, Anneliese started freelance writing for Meerkats, and was appointed as a fulltime junior copywriter soon after.

In 2017, she worked on projects for the majority of Meerkats' client list, including Synergy, Jesters, Muzz Buzz, Harvey Beef, Activ Foundation, Silver Chain, Thermomix and more, as well as spending 12 weeks balancing work with AWARD School studies.

Anneliese earned wide praise for her first ever radio ad, 'Simply Perfect' for Harvey Beef, and picked up a Campaign Brief Creative Circle nomination for her and Rikki Burns' REIWA radio Bond-esque anthem, 'The Not So Secret Agent'.

But her best work of 2017 was her Jesters' radio ad campaign, 'In a Pie', winner of a PADC Bronze Skull, as well as taking out both Campaign Brief's Radio Ad and Radio Campaign of the year awards. The ad also earned the attention of Genevieve Hoey, group ECD at R/GA New York, for being one of the best radio ads of the week on BestAdsOnTV, and Marketforce's Joe Hawkins in the Creative Circle, who said it was "bang on tone-wise for Jesters."

Anneliese received numerous other nods at the PADC Skulls, winning Bronze Skulls for her and Burns' Muzz Buzz radio ad, 'Croissant', and worked on the ground breaking and Gold Skull winning Synergy Future Home, as well as the Silver Skull brand design for Cable Beach Club's restaurant, Kichi Kichi. She was also a finalist in several other categories, including Southern Cross Austereo's $20,000 radio writers' prize, The White Horse award.

Earlier this month, she was nominated for the 2017 Diamond Skulls Emerging Craftsperson of the Year, and she hopes that 2018 will only get better. Read Less
