When Angela Reat was growing up, she loved re-decorating closets—hers or friends’. Closets or graphic design, the common denominator for Angie is solving problems. “I like to take a big, nasty mess and make it clean, organized, beautiful and functional. I like things that are gorgeous or striking, of course, but I like things that function well even better.” In 2007, with a two-decade portfolio of domestic and international work, Angela moved her studio IMPRINT DESIGN to Portland, to be with her vintner husband. In addition to web and print design for large brands such as Disney, Nike, Chiat/Day, and the UN (in Rome), she has lived and worked in South America, Asia and Europe. She founded and was creative director of a design firm in Rome and served as an art director/senior designer for the University of California San Francisco.

Most recently she has been working on large graphics for retail environments, environmental graphics for Nike, Branding projects for some Oregon Wine clients, as well as keeping up with her ongoing clients graphic needs in the interior business including a catalog for an all-American designed an made furniture company.

Feel free to ask her about what your graphic needs, are. She can help...or if she's too busy knows a wealth of designers who can through her executive position as the AIGA Portland chapter President. Read Less

I once read in Communication Arts magazine that design IS innovation and can solve many problems not just visual solutions but also bigger world problems. This particular article was about a design solution helping a small village bring clean water to its citizens and it inspired me. It got me to thinking that I don't want my client's work to just be images with words. I'm interested in helping my customers communicate to their customers what and who they are, visually and ideologically—not just regurgitating the same ads as their competitors.

Side note: A huge pet-peeve of mine is the over use of the once amazing "got milk' ad. I once saw a "got-acne" spin-off! What does that even mean?!

My clients often need the whole package; printed materials and/or websites to go in conjunction with that. We are a full service design shop and can provide brochures, printed newsletters, direct mail pieces, show pieces, large environmental graphics, retail spaces and signage AND interactive projects. Or we can help you communicate your "world" message of how you contribute to your community. Read Less
