You have a story to tell and you want to get a book published, I'm an award-winning illustrator who can help. Here's a break down of the fee and my working process: My fee for illustrating a 24 page picture book starts at $6000, a standard 32 page children's book is from $8000 to $10,000 and it would take from 4 to 8 months depending on the total amount of illustrations needed, the rights you want to purchase, the number of pages, the complexity and number of characters in each spread, as well as my current work load. I break the payments into thirds: one third up front to get started with character development, one third upon delivery of final sketches, and the final third at delivery of the final art. I provide sketches within two to three weeks and will provide a round revisions on the sketches to make sure we're capturing your vision of the story before moving to the final illustrations. I also supply light revisions on the finals if needed. I generally transfer copyright for 1st North American Print rights to you. I work with contracts supplied by the client or we can supply a contract if needed. If you want to buy all rights to the illustration, you’ll need to pay the maximum fee. My husband and business partner, Kurt Keller, is a designer and he can design the cover and layout the book and provide print-ready files for an additional $1000. Also, we can offer editorial services if you're interested with basic editing like missing commas, or misspelling, grammar for $100. If you would like to get a printed book, or several copies, we can upload the book to Ingram Sparks and set it up for distribution with an ISBN number and UPC code to be sold in online stores as well. You would then be able to order as many copies as you would like. This would cost roughly $300-500. We can charge per illustration as needed, or work out a full project fee for your full game split into two payments, to start the project and to finish the project.
