George Brown College team of 2nd and 3rd year design students working on creating an Augmented Reality book that teaches the elements of design using traditional storytelling as the vehicle. The story revolves around the House of Baskerville—a venerable family who once ruled the world of design. Each member of the family personifies one of the elements of design: Val (Value), Spectra (Colour), Harry (Texture), Linus (Line), Pauli (Shape), Skye (Space), Forma (Form). Each family member feels repressed within the constraints of the family and sets of to find validation in the wider world only to realize that they are stronger and more powerful together than apart. The project uses the Aurasma Augmented Reality platform to deliver premium motion graphics, audio and video content to a printed book. Proceeds from sales go towards helping design students in financial need. Tools used are: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Aurasma. Read Less
