Artur Borejszo received his Masters Degree in Architecture and Architectural Engineering with distinction from the Technical University of Lodz, Poland. He is a licensed architect working in the architectural profession for more then 10 years on large variety of projects ranging from single residential housing, interior reconversion, office, exhibition, multi-unit housing, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. His professional experience includes working with several architectural firms in Poland, and at Frederick Gibson + Associates Architecture in San Francisco. Since joining Maxwan A+U in 2008, he has been involved in the ongoing projects such as Barking Riverside Supervision, Leiden Central Master Plan, Machelen-Diegem Master Plan, Colle Deinze- detailed design for shopping centre. He has played a key role in award-winning competition proposals of: Groene Singel – Antwerp [2011], Machelen – Brussels BE [2010], Ruggeveld – Antwerp BE [2010], Cultured Meadow – Ostrava CZ [2010], Marstall Platz – Hannover DE [2010], Magdeburg DE [2010], and a mixed use waterfront in Kaunas, Lithuania [2009]. He became a project leader in 2011 and his first competition project for educational-culture HUB in Genk BE [2011] received a second prize. Currently, he is leading a study project for rehabilitation of 6,8ha post-industrial site in Schwabisch Hall, DE. In addition to architectural work, Artur has an extensive experience working with urban design in all its dimensions and scales. His past and ongoing research includes topics of infrastructure, ecology, housing typologies, landscape and public space design. Merging all these interests provide the philosophical foundation for his work as and architect and urban designer. Artur is also an expert in digital production and representation in design with a wide ranging experience in computer visualization and animation as well as in advanced techniques in leveraging building information modelling for high quality construction documentation.
