Hi, I'm Anne. As a graphic designer, I focus on creative expressions of messaging, business goals, and client needs, to deliver communication materials that clarify and engage. It's not about me, it's about the client and what they are trying to achieve.

Most recently, I completed executive education at Yale School of Management: Business Insights for Creative Leaders in 2016. My baseline academics started with an entrepreneurial internship in high school, and then I earned a BS in Advertising Design from the University of Maryland, College Park, back when Xacto® knives and mechanical boards were de rigueur. I’m happy to report I survived that era with all fingers intact. I excel at the production processes behind design and have an eagle eye for the details of the craft. Some might call it obsessive; I call it dedicated.

For over 20 years I have held graphic design and management positions in the Washington, D.C., area, working for and with a wide variety of firms as well as some big-named clients. Previous engagements included Hecht’s Department Stores, Powell Tate Public Relations, Hirshorn Zuckerman Design Group, and The Madison Design Group (MDG). Throughout my career, I have been intrinsically involved in everything from marketing strategy and promotion, to systems implementation and improvement, to art direction and hands-on design solutions for traditional print projects as well as web, animation, and custom three-dimensional kits. Yes, ironically I actually have a typographic term for a last name. (Thanks, Dad!) Read Less

Anne Likes Red, Inc., is ten years old! I work directly for businesses, associations, and nonprofit organizations, to develop creative services and marketing communications. I am a willing collaborator. When needed, I have a network of experts available to partner with for complex projects, and I am a seasoned project manager, ensuring schedules and budgets are achieved and maintained. I have a thorough understanding of print design, color, and typography.

Red is my favorite color but I design across the spectrum, selecting a palette based on what’s appropriate for your project. Read Less
