The cultural characteristics of the Orient can be found in the design of the residential space. One of them, Room door, is a structure in which light and sound communicate, unlike blocked doors in the West. The structure is embodied in various designs through the pattern of frames.
Hortus는 뉴욕 맨하탄에 위치한 modern Asian cuisine 레스토랑이다. 뉴욕을 대표하는 맨하탄 안에서Asian cuisine을 제공하는 공간으로의 진입을 동양적인 문의 패턴을 통하여 그 경험을 제공하고자 하였습니다.
Hortus is a Modern Asian cuisine restaurant located in Manhattan, New York. We wanted to provide the experience of entering the space that provides Asian cuisine in Manhattan, which represents New York, through an oriental door pattern.
동양적인 Door frame을 패턴화하여 디자인 Motif로 사용하였다.
It was used as a design motif by patterning oriental door frame.
