COURSE WORK - Elective in Graphic Design For Print

#1 POSTER DESIGNS
Two posters for a fictional photo exhibition called "Copenhagen City Space" for Museum For Urban Life.

Poster design #1
Obstructions
- Only text and photos
- We were to use photos taken on our Copenhagen field trip.
- No restrictions on colour use.

My first idea was to use Rundetårn as the shape for a frame to insert photos into, but it ended up looking... "suggestive" to say the least. So instead I used the abbreviation for Copenhagen, CPH.

Poster design #2
Obstructions
- Only text and graphics
- We were to create your own graphic(s)
- Only two colours/hues, however allowed to use as many shades as we'd like.
- The two colours had to be complementary.

I went with purple and yellow and if you cannot see it, it is a simplified version of the The Little Mermaid statue. I was vaguely inspired by some of the Cassandre posters we saw at Design Museum Denmark.

#3 Album Cover
Album cover for "Cold Times Riddim" by Icedrop Records.
Front and back of album cover
We were told to stay away from stereotypical reggae stuff, such as the dominant colours being red, green and yellow and they would like to see something inspired by cold and hot.

I used primary colours and the rings in the water to symbolise the concept of riddim in which you have one piece of music and then different artists interpret it based on their own style, creating a lot of different results. And of course the icicle dripping was to include the cold and hot part.
