In one of my earliest (and arguably one of my most ambitious) projects, SC Johnson's Edge Shave Gel asked us to create a microsite for university-aged guys that would house a contest, give them a place to play and help brand Edge as a "cool" product dedicated to helping young men be the best "men" they can be.
With that in mind, we created the Edge AMPT Fraternity, giving the site an actual frat house our users could explore and have fun in. There was a TV room, where users could watch videos uploaded by others as a means to enter the contest and a games room with darts and pinball. There was also a bedroom with a variety of "how to" guides that I wrote, including how to "dress to undress," pretend you're pre-med, talk like a film major and make women believe you're a musician. It was a great challenge and a lot of work, and in the end, we were very happy with how it turned out and so was the client.
