March 29 - April 9, 2021

Welcome banner for March 29 challenge.
The Coniferous font was chosen from the Brush Pen Adobe Fonts because the mood struck me. A seagull from the sky was selected and copied into many layers and arranged to overlay the P, H, T letters in the header word "Photoshop". Font color was selected to match the seagull wings. Additional seagulls were copied into their own layers, converted to smart objects and transformed in size and rotation to various sky locations. The morning beach scene was selected from my own photographs taken at Orange Beach, Alabama on September 11, 2020. A hurricane was approaching the Gulf coast far out at sea and we had to leave that same morning.  The image was taken using a Nikon Z50 mirrorless DSLR with a wide angle NIKKOR Z DX 16-50 zoom lens with 1/400 sec exposure at f/7.1 focal length 29mm at ISO 100. Various Photoshop enhancements for vibrance, curves, and shadow, midtone, and highlight color balance adjustments were applied. The original image dimension was 5568 x 3712 at 9.8 megs. It was cropped in height to a banner proportion 5568 x 2069 and arranged to have the Gulf horizon across the middle.
Same but different Kingfisher birds for the March 29 challenge.
This image could be for a story about papa bird, mama bird, big brother bird, sister bird, and baby bird. The different sizes are like the Goldilocks and the Bears story or they could be differences in perspective of a row of birds with distance. The tree branches are like fence posts or like five finger tips. Different shadings and subtle variations were applied using various color photo filter and hue/saturation layers clipping masked to each bird. Different colors and feature differences were applied in the tree branch bark for each bird for variation. The bright blue star like points on each wing are heavenly like stars from the night sky.
Background is a shot of the beach at Cape Sans Blanc in Florida on December 9, 2020. The sky was replaced as an exercise. The water was adjusted with a levels adjustment layer and a touch of a vibrance adjustment layer. One rose and one flamingo from the merge photos starter file was inserted in my hands. The flamingo had a green leaf covering the knee of his other leg that had to be carefully removed and painted over. Shadow was added to the stem of the rose. The long leg of the flamingo extends under my hand to give a natural look. A heron from a NASA Cape Canaveral outreach photo was added peeping over my shoulder since his color and shadow matched well.  Beaches and roses and birds are my friends.
Photoshop Photomerge challenge.

Started with an dull off color green vase and a couple of wilty roses on a black background and the challenge was to photo merge two different type and color flamingos into a bouquet of baby "flamingo roses".
