Stefano Ferrando was born in Rome in 1980 and since 1996 he lives in Cagliari. In 2009 he completed his studies in Civil Engineering and Architecture with a thesis about relationships between landscape planning and photography.

After graduation he won a scholarship that took him to Venice for a one-year internship at the studio ORCH_Orsenigo Chemollo. Here he explores the themes of the representation of architecture, landscape and museum exhibits.

Finally, he began working as a photographer, collaborating with architects, museums and cultural associations. At the same time he carries out his own research on the themes of memory and time, exploiting the expressive potential of the pinhole camera. It also develops research on the contemporary city using medium and large format.
