As an architecture student, Ho Man “Legg” Yeung also seeks to be a creative and compelling storyteller, the Hong Kong native aims to craft narratives through her work that initiate new dialogues within the architectural community and beyond. To Legg, successful design considers the context of the society it exists within and encourages reflection on societal norms. Architecture is not only a profession, but a crucial tool for community building and an agent for cultural change.

Legg is a fresh graduate from the Master and Architecture I program, at UCLA Department of Architecture and Urban Design(AUD). She graduated with AIA Henry Adams Medal (top-ranked student in the graduating class), Distinction and Best Graduation Project (to be exhibited at AIA/LA 2*8). Over the past two and a half years, her academic work was featured as Best of Currents (one of just three projects selected from each class) at the AUD gallery for multiple quarters. She was the recipient of the Co Architects Fellowship, the Elaine Krown Klein Awards, the Edna and Yu-Shan Han Awards and the Moore Traveling Fellowship . She now interns part time as a graduate researcher at CityLab--an AUD based think tank that is concerned with contemporary urban issues, urban design and the architecture of the city.

Prior to her studies in the US, she achieved her undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Hong Kong. Then she worked as an architectural assistant for Rocker Lange Architects, where she specialized in computational and parametric design. She has also taught as a teaching assistant for three summer programs at the Department of Architecture, University of Hong Kong. Read Less
