Editorial design for a National Geographic article featuring Bolivian women who are challenging stereotypes and winning respect by taking on the men in the wrestling ring. These women refuse to wear the luche libre style masks characteristic of the sport, and instead fight in traditional cholita garb. As a result, the women fighters fit into the Bolivian wresting world like a square peg in a round hole. Despite many obstacles, they are slowly gaining respect for their hard work in the ring coupled with a fierce determination to remain in the center of traditional family life.
