The Children's Ministry Department at Calvary Baptist Church & Day School wanted to brighten up their dreary hallway and illustrate the core values of knowledge, trust and friendship to their students. I worked up some designs for them and soon discovered the challenges of applying the graphics to the walls of a very narrow hallway. The process involved tracing the design elements onto clear contact paper, applying the contact paper to the wall, cutting out the shapes by hand with an exacto knife and rolling the paint on. When the contact paper was removed we also had to touch up the edges. It was a very long, tedious process but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
Last minute changes were made to the designs upon installation to accommodate changes to the locations and, therefore, dimensions of each mural.
