VERTIGO PROJECT
Vertigo - Nightmare Sequence was the theme of my thesis in Communication Design, that explores
the methods of visual communication through the graphic experimentation, using information design
as a tool for cinema analysis.
It was proposed a study on visual film elements based on the study and treatment of information.
The object of study is about Nightmare Sequence, a fragment of Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958). After a detailed analysis of the film elements, such as color, time, scale of plans, its duration and sound, are proposed new forms and systems of visual representation of information. The project developed is related to the concept of thinking made visual, making process the main element for the development of thought and design, concluding with a set of posters collected in a book that demonstrates the process of evolution of the graphical representation of the film elements, and a video that show this scene only with the main color of each frame as a part of the proces to understand the rhythm of colors combine with music and its ups and downs.
Final Poster
Video that show this scene only with the main color of each frame as a part of the proces to understand the rhythm of colors combine with music and its ups and downs.
